A reintegration and reference center for immigrants opened in Yerevan on Tuesday in the frameworks of the EU-funded Target Initiative for Armenia project

The center will serve as “one window” for repatriated Armenian citizens interested in reintegration opportunities. Based on individual needs, those people may be later referred to corresponding services, reports tert.am.

EU Ambassador to Armenia Trajan Hristea and Head of the State Migration Service Gagik Yeganyan delivered welcoming speeches at the opening event.

“This project’s objective is to offer a service that will be aimed at assisting in the reintegration of immigrants,” Mr Yeganyan said, stressing the importance of providing the maximum possible support to repatriated Armenians.

The center collaborates with government agencies and civil society organizations dealing with reintegration issues.
