THIS WEEK IN EUROPE
Below we would like to draw your attention to the upcoming events in Europe that directly concern or present a particular interest for Armenia. Special attention is paid to international organizations and the scheduled meetings and events in the framework of their activities.
The EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting will take place on November 17 in Brussels. The main topic of the meeting will be the situation in Ukraine, the recent developments and the steps to be done planned by Ukraine and the EU. The Status of Mission Agreement for the EU Advisory Mission for Civilian Security Sector Reform Ukraine (EUAM Ukraine) will also be signed. The other issues put on the agenda are Middle East Peace Process, Western Balkans (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Libya and Ebola.
On the same day the first session EU-Georgia Association Council will be held.
On November 18 the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting on Defence is planned. The Council will discuss the security situation in the EU’s broader neighborhood. The NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg will be present in the meeting of the Council. After the meeting the Cooperation Council with the Kyrgyz Republic will start.
November 20-24 Annual session of NATO Parliamentary Assembly is scheduled.
