“DISASTER: A GENOCIDE” DOCUMENTARY SCREENED IN BERN
A documentary “Disaster: A Genocide” by German producer Eric Friedler was presented in Bern’s Art museum cinema hall. It was initiated by the Armenian-Swiss Interparliamentary Friendship group in the Parliament of Switzerland and by “Society for Threatened Peoples” organization.
According to the MFA Armenia, the 90 minute documentary was followed by discussions partaken by the film producer himself and Turkish writer Doghan Akhanli. Akhanli lives in Germany and is the author of the book “Judges of the Last Judgement”.
The film “Disaster” was shot based on the stories of Armenian Genocide witnesses, memoires of American and European diplomats in Turkey of the time as well as on memoires of those who were carrying out humanitarian mission there. The film is also going be screened on TV.
