World Famous French-Armenian Singer Charles Aznavour has died at the age of 94.

The musician wrote more than 1,000 chansons. Many of them, such as “La Boheme,” “Hier encore,” “La Mamma” and “She,” became worldwide hits at the hands of top performers like Shirley Bassey, Ray Charles, Sammy Davis Jr., Liza Minnelli and Nina Simone, Deutsche Welle reports.

Once Aznavour said: “We live long, we Armenians. I’m going to reach 100, and I’ll be working until I’m 90.”
