According to the list presented by China’s Ministry of Culture it is forbidden to upload and share in the internet world famous 100 songs in their range those performed by Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Britney Spears, “Backstreet Boys” and “Take That”. These songs are thought to harm the people’s culture. All the songs presented in the list are to be deleted from the Chinese part of the internet by September 15.

The criteria according to which the songs were chosen still remain secret. As France Presse reports it might be conditioned by the freedom theme touched upon in the songs.

A number of Asian and local singers as well appeared in the list. They are known to freely manifest against the rulings in the country.

It is nor the first time that Chinese authorities initiate such restrictions. The rolling Stones band was asked during their 2006 concert in China not to perform its following songs: Brown Sugar, Honky Tonk Woman, Beast of Burden, Let’s Spend the Night Together and Rough Justice.
