GOYA’S NEW WORK DISCOVERED

Belgian scientists found previously unknown painting by Francisco Goya. According to the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam it has been hidden underneath one of his masterpieces – Don Ramon Statue.

It is an unfinished portrait aimed at depicting a French general. They assume that it might even be Napoleon Bonaparte’s brother, Joseph who s known to have been King of Spain from 1808-1813.

According to the museum specialists the famous painter is likely to have hidden it for political reasons.

This previously unknown work of Goya was discovered by using a special, new X-ray technique.
