“Kazakhstan – closer for Armenia”
The project “Kazakhstan – closer for Armenia” consisted of three components:
1. seminar-discussions in Armenia (in the capital and in regions) on topics such as “ Kazakhstan-Armenia. Crossing points”, “Kazakhstan’s chairmanship in OSCE in 2010”, “Kazakhstan’s experience and possibilities in conflict resolution”, “Kazakhstan-Armenia: dialogue of civilizations”.
2. shooting of a film and a series of programs in Kazakhstan to be broadcast on TV;
3. publication of a book about Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan was the first CIS member country from former Soviet republics to have assumed chairmanship in 2010 in OSCE, an organization that has human rights protection, democratic freedoms, conflict prevention and peaceful resolution, tolerance and peaceful coexistence on OSCE territory on the list of their top priorities. Armenia in its turn could serve as a bridge to Europe for Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan-Armenia relations can serve as a good example of dialogue of civilizations. All the issues related to Armenia-Kazakhstan relations (the past, the present and the future perspectives) found their platform in this project.
