“Step forward: from ENP to EaP. Role of youth in creation of sustainable and democratic society through peaceful dialogue.”

Training course “Step forward: from ENP to EaP. Role of youth in creation of sustainable and democratic society through peaceful dialogue” was implemented by the Association for Sustainable Human Development with the assistance of European Youth Foundation. NGO “European Integration” also participated in the project. The training course was aimed to raise awareness among youth about  Eastern Partnership Initiative. The main themes were:

EaP as a new framework for the process of European Integration;

Four EaP policy platforms as a basis for peace in the region. Youth cooperation for sustainable development;

EaP: double-sided and multi-sided frameworks as  an opportunity for conflict resolution. Skills of crisis management ;

Human rights institutions,  Human rights and democracy in the context of  EaP;  

Introduction of monitoring results of EU-Armenia Action Plan implementation;  EaP Civil Society Forum. Role of Youth;

Results of Civil Society Forum 2010 in Berlin.

The main objectives:

  • To make Europe and European values more accessible to  youth (particularly youth without access to information)  through introducing  EaP as a platform for cooperation between the 6 countries and Europe;
  • To boost cooperation between  youth and their organizations and to promote participation of youth in decision making processes;
  • To emphasize the role of EaP in conflict resolution, democratization and  promotion of peace.
